Miscellaneous Projects
Potato cannon

A basic potato cannon that runs on single use paintball CO2 cartridges. Anything under 1.5" in diameter can be launched into oblivion (oblivion ≥ 100 feet) with a satisfying thump and decompressing hiss. Surprisingly one of the last things we tested in it was potatoes, why use it for something you know works, when there are 25 other things within arms reach that fit and have never been shot out of a cannon (that and we lacked potatoes).

Ski bike

The ski bike was a spur of the moment project that was born out of boredom. It works about as well as it looks (actually rides well on slush covered road). It is a 80/20 blend of old bike aluminum and firewood wood. The kick stand also does an excellent job of kicking your feet out from under you if you try to stop while going down the street.

Man-powered "go cart"

The go-cart, aka the no-go-cart, and it's a good thing too. If you somehow manage to gain speed on the completely un-powered no-go-cart , there really isn't a good way to stop (with all of your limbs). Those breaks/differential-steering don't do much of anything besides take your hands away from the steering "wheel" long enough for things to go horribly awry. At least it isn't powered.

Lazy Sunday Projects

My friends and I are similar in that we love to build things. Over the years we have worked on several projects to pass the time. Some were more successful than others, but they were all fun to make.
